Call for Manuscripts

Tornado Alley Publications publishes for midde grade, young adult and new adult.  This summer they are assembling an anthology for each of these audiences.

My Dog Can Do Magic is the anthology for Middle Graders (ages 9-12).  The publisher is looking for fantasy or science fiction that shows the bond that this age level can have with their dogs.  The key here is that the dog must have some kind of magical ability.  They want a cover letter and “blurb” along with the manuscript.
Deadline:  April 1, 2014
Word Count:  8000-10,000
Submit to:

This Summer Storm is the Young Adult (ages 13-17) anthology.  For this one they are looking for stories that involve any kind of summer storm including hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning.  But not all storms are meteorlogical and the publisher is also interested in emotional storms caused by the many things that the world throws at this teen audience.  Just make sure you story is contemporary.
Deadline:
April 1, 2014
Word Count: 10,000 – 12,000

Last but not least is the New Adult anthology, It Could Happen, for readers ages 18-24.  This is an anthology about unlikely love, whether it is set into motion under strange circumstances or the couple is an unlikely match.  Note:  All stories for this particular anthology must involve a photograph.  Whether the photo plays a large part of a small part, it must be included.
Deadline:  April 1, 2014
Word Count: 10,000 – 15,000
Submit to:  prairierosepublications@yahoo.com

Please send a cover letter and blurb along with your submission.  For more information on each anthology, visit the publisher’s web site.

I don’t know whether or not this is a paying market, so proceed with caution.
